The Social programme was organized to enhance networking and establish new contacts and make lifelong friends.
October 8
Visit the discoveries monuments in Belém, from where the 1st International experiences in Portugal took place, when the first explorers sailed the seas. You will also have the opportunity to become familiar with the famous Portuguese pasteis de nata (custard tarts) factory. Monuments/Museems to visit: Jeronimo’s Monastery, Discoveries Monuments, Presidency of the Republic Museum and MAAT.
October 10
Brunch at Taguspark Campus will be another perfect networking session.
Free time for sight-seeing and shopping in Cascais, followed by dinner in a beachfront restaurant.
Blame King Luís I (1838 – 1889) for the upturn in the fortunes of Cascais. He declared it his favourite summer destination back in the 19th Century and the rest, as they say, is history. Cascais (pronounced Cash-caiish) is a blend of royal palaces, fabulous food, and outstanding tourist facilities. It’s the place where stories of Ian Fleming and James Bond mix with unique 19th Century architecture.
Cascais, on the Estoril coast, is just 20km from Lisbon. Located between the picturesque Sintra mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, the area also provides the most westerly point in Europe. There are 17 well-maintained beaches with amazing sea views.
